Please join us for a special commemoration of KRISTALLNACHT dedicated to the stories of those who survived the Holocaust as children forced into ghettos, concentration camps, into hiding or on the run, and to their rescuers:
HOW WE SURVIVED: 52 Personal Stories by Child Survivors of the Holocaust
Sunday, November 10, 2019 3:00 p.m. at the Museum of Tolerance
Only six to seven percent of Jewish children living in Nazi occupied Territory survived the war. Each day between September 1939 and May 1945 was a day when they could have been killed if not for a twist of fate, a chance taken, a kind person who risked their own life to pass that child, infant or youth on to someone who had the courage to act with compassion. It is a privilege to listen to these last survivors, while we still can.
Program will include: Commemoration Child Survivors Tell Their Stories Musical Tribute by The Jewish Community Childrens Choir under the Musical Direction of Dr. Michelle Greene Willner Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren share their unique commitment to telling their loved ones stories Join the authors of How We Survived: 52 Personal Stories by Child Survivors of the Holocaust
