Arise the Movie Premiere in Phoenix
Award winning documentary, Arise,narrated by Daryl Hannah, captures the portraits and stories of extraordinary women around the world who are coming together to heal the injustices against the earth. It weaves together poetry, music, art and stunning scenery to create a hopeful and collective story that inspires us to work for the earth.
Q & A with filmmakers after the screening. 10% of proceeds will go to Honor the Earth, which is a Native-led organization, established by Winona LaDuke and Indigo Girls Amy Ray and Emily Saliers, in 1993 to address the two primary needs of the Native environmental movement: the need to break the geographic and political isolation of Native communities and the need to increase financial resources for organizing and change.
