Acme Theatre's The Burials
Sophie has always been the apple of her fathers eye and his biggest supporter in his campaign for the US Senate. But after her little brother Ben does the unthinkable, Sophie is forced to reconsider her loyalties to her family, her friends and her own sense of right and wrong. Inspired by Antigone, this is a modern tale of civic responsibility that explores the aftermath of a school shooting,racism, police brutality, and one familys response to the United States gun epidemic.
Trigger Warnings: Gunshot sound effects, discussion of gun violence, racism, police brutality & suicide.
