Are You Culturally Responsive to Your Mentee?
Mentors have a unique opportunity to help youth find meaning, a sense of self, helping their mentee find their personal narrative, and finding ways of giving back to their world. In this workshop, we will introduce cultural responsiveness as a means of helping your mentee:
1. Discover their voice,
2. Explore their cultural identity,
3. Learn why critical consciousness is vital in guiding youth in owning their narrative.
This training will provide strengthening exercises to encourage courageous conversations, understand cultural humility, and critical self-reflection.
