How does FANfit Work?
Sign up as a team, get fit, support your FANfit coach, and compete in the challenge on January 25th 2014.
This event is taking place at the Canada Games Centre in Halifax, NS. The FANfit Challenge uses five different fitness indicators to generate a cumulative fitness score for each participant. Everybody on a team completes each of the 5 exercise challenges.
The 5 different exercises are:
1) The Bike
2) The Sled Pull
3) The Row
4) The Agility Test
5) The Run
A 5-10-5 Agility Test + 2000m Rowing Challenge + 5000m Bike + Sled Pull Challenge + 3000m Run = FANfit Challenge
***All participants complete all exercises***
There are two lead-up components to the FANfit Challenge:
1) Participants are encouraged to train for the event and take part in a number of different exercise opportunities and promotional classes to prepare for the FANfit Challenge.
2) Participants are also encouraged to champion the cause of the athlete they've chosen to work with during the FANfit Challenge. Each athlete who'll be serving as a FANfit Coach/Mentor will have a corresponding Pursuit online donation platform. Participants are encouraged to raise funds for their respective athletes by referring friends, families, co-workers, and other interested parties to the Pursuit donor platform.
This is your chance to challenge yourself physically, be a part of an athlete's incredible journey, and have a lot of fun in the process!
