Physical Theatre Workshop
10/19 | 2-4pm | Ages 18+
No experience required.
LIMITED to 14 participants! Pre-register to ensure your place!
Physical theatre, as opposed to traditional theatre, focuses on movement and body language as the primary story-telling elements rather than spoken or written language. In this creative workshop participants will explore different modes of non-verbal communication and learn some essential elements to physical storytelling. Workshop may include elements of mime technique, clowning, statue work, partnering, and improvisation.
You WILL be asked to:
- Try something new
- Work collaboratively with others
- Play games and have fun
You will NOT be asked to:
- Learn or memorize choreography
- Speak lines or read from a script
- Do anything you dont want to
Open to all backgrounds, genders and abilities.
May be of particular interest to actors, dancers, performers and storytellers of all kinds.
