Living Room Circus
Join us for an evening of experimentation and risk. Celebrate the raw moments, the process, and the journey of making a performance. What about an act makes you feel inspired? What makes you walk away with more questions than answers?

Living Room Circus is a quarterly showcase of innovative pieces and works-in-progress from performing artists all around Portland and beyond.  Past installations have included aerial acrobatics, spoken word, stand-up-comedy, Chinese pole and multidisciplinary pieces.  As an audience member, you will have the opportunity to give written feedback to the performers as they experiment with new ideas.

Feel free to bring your favorite cushion, sleeping bag, sweater, or whatever makes you feel cozy. Chair seating will also be available.  Please contact frontdesk@thecircusproject.org if you require specific seating needs.

Tickets: SOLD OUT!   (Limited tickets may be available at the door.)  Pay-what-you-can (suggested) $5 - $25, No one turned away for lack of funds, however you must reserve a ticket in advance to guarantee admission through the ticketing service.

Wine, drinks and snacks available by donation.

**Due to the nature of this type of event, content may not be appropriate for all audiences.  Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Accessibility information:

The Circus Project is wheelchair accessible.  There is a 17 long concrete ramp to access the front door, which is 33 inches wide (and somewhat heavy). The audience area is hard floor and flat, and seating consists of stacked gymnastics mats and wooden chairs - these can be rearranged as needed to accommodate wheelchairs or other equipment.

There is additional audience seating on the mezzanine, overlooking the stage.  There is a flight of stairs, with a handrail on both sides, to access the mezzanine.  We do not have an elevator to access this area.

Parking for the theater is street parking, and attendees with mobility concerns are welcome to temporarily pull into the small shared parking lot in front of the Circus Project as a drop-off location.  We also have a parking lot with 3-hour parking behind the building.

There is also a back entrance to the building.  To enter from the back, there is a 43 long concrete loading ramp, enter the door (41 wide, somewhat heavy) proceed down the hallway and turn left, and the back door to the Circus Project will be on the right.  This is a shared hallway with multiple businesses, and also the access to additional building bathrooms.  This hallway is often used as the stage entrance for performers, so there may also be performers passing through.

The Circus Project has an all-user, wheelchair-accessible bathroom, including support bar.  All products at the Circus Project are free of synthetic fragrances.  There are two additional all-user, wheelchair-accessible bathrooms in the back hallway, shared by multiple businesses.

Help us make the Circus Project a welcoming place for people with chemical sensitivities.  We request that all visitors do not use synthetic fragrances such as perfume or cologne while in our studio.  The Circus Project only uses unscented cleaning products.

Please reach out with any additional questions, or to reserve specific seating arrangements.  Contact us at lrc@thecircusproject.org
