PLEASE NOTE- pre-sales for tickets will end on November 9 at noon. It is advisable to come to the door early as this event may sell out.
THIS FUNDRAISING EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED due to the after effects of the Kincade Fire. OUR NEW DATE: Saturday, November 9, from 6:30-9pm.
Psychedelic Mysteries of the Feminine - Launching a new anthology that braids these provocative themes: The Feminine, mythology, activism, and psychedelic perspectives.
Readings by contributing authors Kathleen Harrison & Annie Oak, and editor, Chiara Baldini - Followed by an onstage conversation about these rich topics: What is the Feminine in these times? What has the psychedelic experience revealed to us about archetypes, activism, and grounded wisdom? How do we show respect for the indigenous roots of these culture-changing agents?
You won't want to miss this special event! It is both a book launch for this new book, and a benefit for Botanical Dimensions.
Bonus! We are now also showing a sneak peek at our documentary film in progress, Almost Visible. It is the story of ethnobotanist Kathleen Harrison's decades-long relationship with an indigenous Mazatec family in Mexico. We will begin with this, at 6:30pm. (Not viewable online, only live at this event.)
Location: Occidental Center for the Arts, 3850 Doris Murphy Ct. Occidental, CA 95645
