Babes in Toyland
"Babes in Toyland," a Victor Herbert Operetta, is the longest-running Holiday Musical Spectacular in Maryland. The Baltimore Actors' Theatre first produced "Babes in Toyland" in 1965 at the Hippodrome Theatre. "Babes in Toyland" has been produced every year since them in many venues, including The Lyric, Painters Mill Music Fair, and Kraushaar Auditorium.
"Babes in Toyland" has a cast of 75, a 10-piece orchestra, and features a Toyland Parade, a Dragon Ballet, the Parade of the Wooden Soldiers, and a beautiful Toyland Wedding.
This year's "Babes in Toyland" is even more special to us, because we are celebrating 54 magical years!
