Direct Public Offerings: Part 1 of 2
This month, we'll learn about how companies can raise capital by expanding ownership to community members. Bring your lunch and join us for a short lesson from the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies, followed by a lively discussion. Whether you are a consumer, investor, entrepreneur, policy-maker, or academic, you will help craft the conversation as we explore how crowdfunding can contribute to the vibrancy of our region.
One week later, on April 29th, we'll dive deeper with a happy hour panel discussion featuring local experts and case studies. If you're interested in attending parts 1 & 2, please click here: brownpapertickets.com/event/441019.
This event is part of the Community Capital: Seattle series, which also explores cooperatives; local investment clubs; creative community loan models; crowdfunding, CSAs, and pre-sales; and community banks, credit unions, and CDFIs as ways to move money into our local economy.
Many thanks to our series sponsors: Bainbridge Graduate Institute, BECU, and Central Co-op, plus a number of generous in-kind sponsors.
