Tuesdays, October 1 - December 10, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. (No class November 5)
Strengthen your connection to the life-giving energy of Balkan Roma dance in the community formed by this ten week class. Deepen your dancing with reflections based on information from textiles, music, and Romani culture.
All classes begin with a warm-up that introduces movement vocabulary, each class focusing on a specific theme. Learn village style Roma dances in a circle. And when music takes off on wild improvisations, we, too, may bring in our individual expression. Beginners and experienced dancers alike will find our dancing rich.
