Cooperatives: Part 1 of 2
To kick off the exploration of cooperatives (our Community Capital: Seattle topic for October) we'll enjoy a lesson from the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies on how cooperatives are being used to build community capital across the nation. Then engage in a lively discussion--whether you are a consumer, investor, entrepreneur, policy-maker, or academic, you will help craft the conversation as we explore how cooperatives can contribute to the vibrancy of our region.
One week later, on October 15th, we'll dive deeper into how cooperatives are working in our region with a happy hour panel discussion featuring local co-op experts from Central Co-op, Equal Exchange, the NW Cooperative Development Center, and others.
