Jr. Derby: Basics & Beginners Class - 9/5/13

Learn to skate from the Gotham Girls Roller Derby coaches! If you are a female between the ages of 8 and 17 years and want to learn to skate and play roller derby, this is the class for you!

We will cover roller skating basics and introductory roller derby skills. You must have your own skates, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, helmet, and mouth guard. No skating skills are necessary, but you must be able to make it around the track without holding onto walls or people.

This Basics & Beginners class consists of 10 weeks of classes on Thursday evenings from 5-7pm at our "Crashpad". Classes are cumulative and must be purchased as a 10-week package.

Start date: Thursday, September 5, 2013
Last day: Thursday, November 14th, 2013
(Class will not be held on October 31, 2013)

The cost of this 10-week session is $200.

At the end of the 10 weeks, there will be a Skills Assessment to determine scrimmage readiness, which will allow movement up into our advanced Tuesday and Saturday classes.
