A COLOSSAL Impact: Film & Discussion
BIMA and YWCA Kitsap County presents "Colossal", an evening of film and discussion in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This event is open to everybody and a wonderful opportunity to learn from survivors, YWCA leaders and advocates who will discuss the film's themes and other topics related to domestic violence awareness.
Domestic violence has a colossal impact on each aspect of our society. From the individual and their children directly affected to their family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, employers, medical and mental health providers, and more. The federal government spends an estimated $55 billion annually on dealing with the effects of childhood exposure to domestic violence. This is not a private problem. This is a community problem. Take action against the prevalence of domestic violence by joining us for a film screening of Colossal and listening to experts discuss domestic violence in Kitsap County and Bainbridge Island. Learn how you can contribute to creating a culture where domestic violence is not tolerated in our communities.
