Expressions of Culture in Classical Music with Holly Roadfeldt
In this session, we will explore how traditional dances influenced the works of Brahms (Hungarian Dances) and Bartók (Romanian Folk Dances). Additionally, we will see how the vibrant characteristics of dances such as the tarantella, the mazurka, the polonaise, and the Ländler are preserved (or lost) in classical music from the 19th and 20th centuries.
