Al Franken: God Spoke
The recent groundswell of topical documentary films drawing moviegoers into cineplexes in record numbers could reach a new high in 2006 with our Festival opener, Al Franken: God Spoke. It comes to Min-neapolis/St. Paul fresh from a sparkling world premiere at the South By Southwest Festival in mid-March where it generated the kind of buzz and garnered a volume of positive reviews that indie filmmakers, especially documentary filmmakers, rarely experience.
