IT'S ORCA DAY!
Join us as we restore critical habitat for salmon (the Orcas primary food source) along Dogfish Creek right in the heart of Poulsbo. Kitsap Conservation District has joined with dozens of other partners across Washington State who are hosting events that restore habitat and reduce stormwater pollution. Everyone can do something to help save orcas, one of the most iconic species of the Pacific Northwest. You can sign-up at one of over 40 events that are being held on October 19, 2019 as part of a statewide coordination of events known as Orca Recovery Day 2019.
Help us at our event from 9:30am to 12:00pm or 12:00pm to 2:00pm, or choose both tickets and join us all day. This event is FREE. RSVP using Brown Paper Tickets.
Volunteer work will include using a tool like a shovel to grub out blackberry root balls and install native plants. Please bring a pair of work gloves and your own snacks and water. We will provide the tools. We hope to see you there!
