Yoga for Realignment and Renewal: Rooted in Jewish Mystical Teachings
The High Holy Days are a powerful time of reflection and transformation on the Jewish calendar. Join us for a gentle grounding Iyengar-based yoga and movement practice as we explore themes of reflection, realignment, and renewal. No previous experience with Yoga or Judaism is required.
Instructor Julie Emden directs the Embodied Jewish Learning Initiative at Jewish LearningWorks in San Francisco. Julie is certified in Iyengar-based yoga from the Yoga Room in Berkeley, in Yoga and Jewish Spirituality from Elat Chayyim Center for Jewish Spirituality, and in Movement-based Expressive Arts from Tamalpa Institute. A teacher of yoga, movement and dance for 15 years, she brings playfulness and joy to her practice and classes.
