Newtown Historic Association Open House Tour
325 Years of Homes and History
As Newtown, Bucks County marks its 325th birthday, the Newtown Historic Association celebrates Newtowns architectural legacy and invites the public to attend its 46th annual holiday house tour on Saturday, December 6, 2008.
The tour features five private residences and seven public buildings, spanning the 17th through the 21st centuries. All sites are within comfortable walking distance of the town center. Included in the $20 cost of a tour ticket are the Half-Moon Inn happenings; re-enactors, hearthside colonial cooking demonstrations, musical entertainment and refreshments of cheese and mulled cider.
Tour hours are from 10:00AM to 4:00PM. Advance tickets can be purchased at the Newtown Hardware House, 106-108 South State Street, or at two locations on the day of the tour: the Half-Moon Inn located at Court Street and Centre Avenue and at the Stocking Works located at 301 South State Street.
In the event of inclement weather, the tour will be held on Sunday, December 7th.
Please, no picture taking or high-heeled shoes permitted in the houses.

All proceeds from the tour will benefit the Newtown Historic Association incorporated in 1964 and dedicated to the preservation of Newtowns historical heritage.
