Fighting Chance Productions 2013/14 Season Tickets
Here are the details of our 2013/14 Season:

The Rocky Horror Show
October 4-26, 2013
Book, Music & Lyrics by Richard O'Brien
Jericho Arts Centre
directed by Ryan Mooney, music direction by Kerry O'Donovan, choreography by Anna Kuman

That sweet transvestite and his motley crew did the time warp on Broadway in a 25th anniversary revival. Complete with sass from the audience, cascading toilet paper and an array of other audience participation props, this deliberately kitschy rock 'n' roll sci fi gothic is more fun than ever. What Ryan Says: People have asked for years when we were going to tackle Rocky Horror. A huge fan of the movie I've seen several incarnations of the stage show as well and am looking forward to putting our FCP twist on the show. Fishnet stockings are highly encouraged!

reasons to be pretty
January, 2014
by Neil Labute
Havana Theatre

directed by Kate Stadel

A love story about the impossibility of love, REASONS TO BE PRETTY introduces us to Greg, who really, truly adores his girlfriend, Steph. Unfortunately, he also thinks she has a few physical imperfections, and when he casually mentions them, all hell breaks loose. A hopelessly romantic drama about the hopelessness of romance, REASONS TO BE PRETTY is a gorgeous play. What Ryan Says: It's always exciting to return to Mr. Labute who started us off with his one act play Autobahn. This was the first Neil Labute show to ever make it to Broadway and was nominated for a Best Play Tony Award. Provocative in the way that only Labute can be we're excited to present this show as part of our season.

Spring Awakening
April 25th - May 17th, 2014
Book & Lyrics by Steven Sater, Music by Duncan Sheik, based on the play by Franz Wedekind
Jericho Arts Centre
directed by Ryan Mooney

It's Germany, 1891. The beautiful young Wendla explores her body and asks her mother where babies come from. Elsewhere, the brilliant and fearless young Melchior defends his buddy Moritz -- a boy so traumatized by puberty he can't concentrate on anything. One afternoon in the woods, Wendla and Melchior discover a desire unlike anything they've ever felt. SPRING AWAKENING explores the confusion and desperation that ensue when the onrushing tide of hormones meets the ignorance of children. SPRING AWAKENING celebrates the unforgettable journey from youth to adulthood with a power, poignancy, and passion that you will never forget. What Ryan Says: This show is not only the biggest surprise as it's recently had popularity in another Vancouver production, but because when I saw it in New York it didn't strike the emotional chord with me it has with so many others. When the rights were available I started to think about a different way to attack the material, and I believe I've found it. Whether you've seen it before or not, this Spring Awakening will be unlike any one before it.
