An Evening of Edgar Allan Poe
balletEMbody present their premiere evening-length work An Evening of Edgar Allan Poe on Saturday, November 23 at 2pm & 7pm as well as Sunday, November 24 at 2pm. The production explores four of Poe's classic, poetic stories through classical and contemporary ballet movement scores.
balletEMbody is Baltimore's premiere dance project dedicated to representing literary works and original ideas through the tangible and visible art form of dance. We perform both classical and contemporary ballet with the intention of entertaining, educating, and inspiring audiences in the Greater Baltimore region.
Children under 3 years old and able to sit on a adult's lap during the performance are not required to have a purchased ticket.
During the second act of this performance, a character from the 'Masque of the Red Death' will wear a mask and may be scary for children under 5.
