For our first show of the season, we are showcasing two beloved and acclaimed Toronto sketch acts:
The Diddlin Bibbles
&
Erica Gellert!
The Diddlin Bibbles are a spiritual, sex-positive, singer-songwriter duo from Widdlywack, Wisconsin. In 2017, they won Patrons Pick at the Toronto Fringe Festival with their first Musical Adventure, The Diddlin' Bibbles Live in Concert.
Mooney on Theatre described the characters as hopeful, loving, and gentle" yet "lustful, empowered, and passionate...[a]nd constantly, amazingly funny and the show as
"...an absolute delight."
In 2018, The Diddlin Bibbles sold out their final performance of their second original show
The Diddlin' Bibbles Live at Comedy Bar at The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, about which Glenn Sumi tweeted They know how to make the most of every minute theyre onstage.
Erica Gellert is our first solo sketch performer of the season! She performs and writes weekly with the Canadian Comedy Award-winning collective The Sketchersons/Sunday Night Live and has performed in over 10 comedy festivals as a sketch comedy artist, including JFL42 in a solo character showcase. She has been a guest lecturer at George Brown for writing sketch comedy since 2017.
