Just one year before the acting tour-de-force of SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS, Lancaster also co-starred with Tony Curtis in this tale of a love triangle under the big top. Lancaster plays Mike Ribble, a crippled trapeze artist, who sees promise in his young protégé (Curtis) but is also drawn to the fiery Lola (Lollobrigida).
