Celebrating Women: An Afternoon of Style & Inspiration

Dont miss this unique fundraising event with Anacortes-based, internationally known designer and fiber artist Anita Luvera Mayer. Enjoy an afternoon of incredible fashions, a delicious luncheon, and inspiration for living life to the fullest. Participants will be inspired to inject new style into their wardrobes. Following lunch and social time, Anita will present a selection of her amazing handmade garments during a narrated fashion show. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase the styles shown immediately after the presentation in a trunk show co-hosted by Lori Maul, owner of Fidalgo Artisan Yarn and Clothing.
How to Dress for Your Shape: Clothing for Real Women
Saturday, November 9, 10 am - 4 pm; Lightcatcher studio
"I believe there should be something magical and unique about what is worn each day and I want to share this concept of clothing with others." Anita Luvera Mayer. Participants in this interactive workshop with designer and fiber artist Anita Luvera Mayer will have the opportunity to try on a wide range of clothing styles that are designed for women of all ages and body sizes, with garment patterns provided. Anita will discuss style and comfort, lining methods, making garments fit, and surface embellishments.
