Just in time to kick off the Halloween season, drag star JACKIE COX returns to the Cavern Club Theater with her critically acclaimed comedy I DREAM OF JACKIE 2: JACKIES NIGHTMARE! Directed and choreographed once again by Blake McIver.
I DREAM OF JACKIE 2: JACKIES NIGHTMARE! stars Jackie Cox as not one, but TWO magical Genies in this fantastical tale. In the tradition of great 1960s sitcom plot twists, we meet Jackies evil and jealous twin, Jacqueline -- whose biggest wish is to turn all of Jackies dreams into a terrible nightmare! With her Handsome Harem Boys back at her side Jackie must use her magic to fend off her sister in an outrageous comedy spooktacular featuring her signature blend of musical theater, hit pop songs, and fabulous dancing! But are the powers of Jackies wishes strong enough, and bright enough, to withstand the evil forces that invade her dreams? Be careful what you wish for, because youre about to find out!
JACKIE COX burst onto the NYC drag scene in 2010 as 1st Runner-Up in the 1st season of the long running New World Stages "So You Think You Can Drag?" competition. Since then she has headlined her own shows off-Broadway in NYC ("Jackie Cox: Westward Ho" at New World Stages) and beyond ("Jackie Cox: I had it in me!" at the Theatre Out in Orange County, CA). She has also appeared in shows at the Laurie Beechman Theater (Make America Gay Again, "Paige Turner's Easter Eggstravaganza"), and The Crown & Anchor of Provincetown ("Gypsies"). Recently, Jackie appeared on TV in Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live", winning the title of "Real Queen of Beverly Hills" for her impersonation of TV personality and Depends undergarment spokeswoman, Lisa Rinna.
