Haunted Canal Hayride Along Lemont's Historic I&M Canal
The Hope and Friendship Foundation and School District 113A Educational Foundation, are proud to bring back the Haunted Canal Hayride along Lemont's Historic I&M Canal for a 2nd year! Lemont has long been touted, boasted of, and howled about, as a town with many stories, traditions, much history and hauntings. Climb aboard the Haunted Hayride to hear some of the stories and possibly see some hijinks from those who have been lying low but now are looking forward to coming out to greet you. You never know what a little night air, light of the moon, and smell of the canal surroundings can do to a being who has been suppressed over hundreds of years!

The Hayrides will be held on Friday, October 25th from 6:00 - 9:30 and Saturday, October 26th from 5:00 - 9:30 (with a special less scary version of the rides from 5:00 - 6:30 on Saturday). The ride begins and ends at Lemont's Safety Village (55 Stephen St). Tickets are $10 per person (+ $1.34 service fee per ticket when purchased online) and are valid only for the date purchased.  Tickets can be purchased either online www.sd113afoundation.org or at Nail Inn and School of Cosmetology (47 Stephen St).

Riders are first come, first served, so be sure to come early for best availability. Event line will start forming at 5:30pm on Friday and 4:45pm on Saturday.  The final ride for each night will depart promptly at 9:30pm.  Children under 12 must be accompanied by a paid adult. The Haunted Canal Hayrides are a rain or shine activity, but in the event of inclement weather (lightning, thunderstorms, etc), that we deem a threat to the safety of the hayride passengers, the Haunted Canal Hayrides may be canceled. No refunds.

Founded in May, 2010 by a group of local parents, the SD113A Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity committed to improving academic outcomes for all students in the Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A. We collaborate with the school board, school administration and staff, PTO and other organizations in our area to help achieve district-aligned goals and objectives.

The Mission of Hope and Friendship Foundation is "to be a conduit from those who have to those that need." This assistance is accomplished by providing emergency funds, food, physical assistance, and counseling - we are friends helping friends. We are a 501C3 charity and our activities are funded through the generosity of local individuals and businesses within the community.
