Silhouette Pendant Workshop with Julia Harrison
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT.
Make your own wearable memento in "verre eglomisé," or enamel on glass. Trace a portrait silhouette onto a piece of glass then fill in with enamel paint. Add details and bring the whole thing to life with a layer of metal leaf. Once we fix it in a setting, your portrait is wearable and durable. If theres a particular person youd like to paint, come prepared with a clear photo of their head in profile. No experience or skill required, all materials provided.
Workshop runs from 10am-2pm.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Julia Harrison is a Seattle-based artist and educator, and the Jewelry/Metals Studio Manager at Pratt Fine Arte Center. She has taught workshops across the country at schools including the 92nd St Y and the Penland School of Crafts.
