Ruined
Winner of the 2009 Pulitzer Prize, playwright Lynn Nottage enables the audience to experience the resilience of the human spirit during times of civil war. Set in a small mining town in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mama Nadi emerges as a strong, independent businesswoman protecting (or profiting from) the women she shelters. This emotionally charged drama is presented by the Alamance Repertory Theatre Company. The African-American cast is directed by Michael Burke.
