"Teaspoon" has logged countless hours in the studio for various projects for various groups and has played for the likes of The Carnival Cruiseline, Disney, Marcus Miller, Critts Juke Joint, Gruvology, The Michael Jackson Tribute Tour 2010, The Black Eyed Peas, T.I., Kendrick Lamar, The Christopher Hopper Band, Grammy Award Nominee Eric Roberson, Siri Music Group artist Meisa, Philicia Collins of The David Letterman Show, B3 jazz organ great Lonnie Smith, Tommy Z, Bobby Jones of BET, Joseph Wooten and a long list of others with a current endorsement by Regal Tip drumsticks

Born in Buffalo, NY, Drummer, David Jonathan Hulett, also known as David "Teaspoon" Hulett, began his music career in the late 90's . He  is one of the most respected and technical drummers of his generation. His articulation and attenion to detail  has given him the ability to adapt to many genres of music, from rock, pop, jazz, r&b, to country, folk, blues, and gospel. David Hulett got his start like many drummers around his hometown at church. Although the church was a major facilatator to master his skill he credits jazz  and blues as his biggest influence. As a teenager he was exposed to music greats from his own home town such as The Goo Goo Dolls, Rick James, Lucky Peterson, and B3 Hammond Legend Lonnie Smith. David groomed his skills and attended The Buffalo Academy of Visual and Performing Arts where he also graduated.

He briefly studied at Erie Community College for Pre- Law before switching to Villa Maria College, which was a music college, before being offered to do studio work for former Capitol Records engineer Peter Hopper. David would join Peter's son Christoper and tour the U.S. with The Christopher Hopper Band. Christopher's wife would produce a solo album as well which David recorded on. He has 2 records with The Christopher Hopper Band and 1 with Jennifer Hopper.

As the years passed David's reputation began to grow. Being asked by former Arsenio Hall Show bass player Jerry Livingston, to do fill- in gigs all over town which led to a call from radio personality Duane Price to ask for David to put together a band for Bobby Jones of BET. After the success of the show he began to recieve more gigs and opportunities to expand on his name and his brand, including but not limited to be the band leader for a show for NewYork City fashion week for 2 time grammy nominated Eric Roberson.

In 2012 David joined Gruvology, a jazz-fusion band of original composition led by Bernard Kunz and Walter Kemp, gigging all over town and NewYork City as well as overseas to Belgiun, Germany, Switzerland, and The Netherlands. He is still currently a member of Gruvology and has his own band called The Phaction of which he also tours often with Hip Hop recording artist Chuckie Campbell of whom he just toured Texas doing the 2015 SXSW Music Festival and NXNE in Toronto which included a set along side Chris Rivers, Ras Kass, Killah Priest, and Pete Rock, and Fresh Kils from Canada

Currently David tours with many bands including The Tommy Z Band whose Blues album just went #8 on Billboard Music Charts, As well as his current projects with The Walter Kemp 3OH and their newly released long anticipated album "Dark Continent" which has had rave reviews and is in the top 5 among national college radio stations in good company with Robert Glasper and Norah Jones, Gruvology, and Chuckie Campbell's upcoming album realease "Taking Back Tomorrow
