Sept. 21st Farm to Table Dinner
This evening is set up to help showcase fresh products from local farms (within 100 miles) and from our own farm to help support the local food movement. Each dinner is prepared by a professional Chef. We would love to invite you to join our family at our farm for an amazing evening of food, wine, music, supporting local farms, and a beautiful atmosphere to just take a walk and enjoy the scenery.
You can take a walk around the farm, enjoy some live music by local artist,Jacob Filer, wine tasting with wine from Aubrey Vineyards, and an amazing 5-course meal prepared by a professional Chef. The September chef will be Chef Matt Chatfield! Matt is also accompanied by his wife, who is also a chef, Chef Sophia Chatfield.
We are also so excited about the fact that each one of our Farm to Table Dinners we like to partner with an organization to support. Our September organization is Hope Haven. Hope Haven exists to provide safe shelter, concentrated supportive services, community resources, and education to survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
Our menus are planned based off of what is in season, so we try to have our menu completed a few weeks out from the event. You will start off with an appetizer in our outdoor courtyard area (if weather permits). Then we move inside to our Farmhouse Room for salad, soup, main course and dessert! The dinners are so fresh and delicious! The Chef will also come out and talk about the different courses throughout the evening, and will also demo one part of the evenings courses. This is definitely an experience you do not want to miss out on!
Our September Menu:
You will start out upon arrival with Pancetta Crisp with Goat Cheese and Pears from the orchard along with Homemade Breads, Tomato Spiced Jam, & Honey from the orchard.
For this Farm to Table, we are going to learn some Asian styles of cooking using this beautiful farm fresh produce. We will start you off with Silky Corn and Crab Soup with chives. For the next course, the Chef would like to make you a delicious Spaghetti Squash Lo Mein, with Baby Bok Choy. We will serve Soft Sweet Butter Dinner Rolls to accompany the meal as well.
The Chef will fire up his charcoal grill to make you his favorite Hawaiian-style Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin, and will serve it alongside Miso Roasted Potatoes, with Sesame Stir fry Zucchini and Carrots.
For the finale of the evening, the Chef visited Upcycled Orchard and baked off a Spiced Pear Torte with Butterscotch Caramel Sauce.
