Otsukimi Moonviewing Festival 2019
Friday, October 11th & Saturday, October 12th Otsukimi is back for two nights! 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM
The Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix transforms its unique space for a two-day celebration of the Harvest Moon, Otsukimi. Enjoy a moonlight stroll through the lantern lit pathways and calligraphy art installations while listening to the soothing sounds of the bamboo flute. Guests may also enjoy entering our Tea Garden (Musoan), ordinarily off-limits to the public, and watch a special performance by Yoko Awaya on the koto.
Our friends at Sapporo USA and Hiro Sake will be serving thirst-quenching sake cocktails and beer at our bar. A variety of seasonal wines and, of course, Japanese favorites like plum wine will be available as well. Pair your favorite beverage with a delicious plate from Yatai Ramen or Ohya Korean Kitchen and BBQ. Finally, relax in our Tea Cafe while being served matcha tea and sweets by our tea volunteers.
Come and experience Japanese culture, art, and music in the heart of Downtown Phoenix.
