Nothing Like Les Dames Week: Supper, Stories and Sunset on the Ashley
You want a great Lowcountry experience? Try drinks on the dock overlooking the Ashley River at sunset, conversation with Grand Dame Nathalie Dupree and her husband, scholar Jack Bass, and a Lowcountry Boil all at a private house so you can see how we REALLY do it in Charleston.A signature cocktail, wine and lowcountry nibbles will be served on the dock, courtesy of Dames Donna Gustafson and Lisa Buzzelli.Lowcountry boil (aka Frogmore Stew) will be cooked outdoors and eaten traditionally on the banks of the river, accompanied by wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverage. A signature lowcountry dessert from Wildflour Pastry will cap off a festive autumn evening.
