Mainestream Jazzmasters
The Mainestream Jazzmasters are a six piece jazz band that has performed in the greater Portland area for over 10 years. The members are experienced professionals who have individually played thousands of gigs throughout the United States and foreign countries. Founded by successful composer, lyricist and playwright John Linscott, the lineup includes saxophones, trumpet, guitar, keyboard, drums and bass. The repertoire, as the name suggests, is focused on the great mainstream tunes from the golden era of jazz, the 1930s through the 1960s, with occasional diversions.
The lineup: Mike Boucher, drums; Neil Lamb, guitar and vocals; Ken Gaspar, piano ; Vaughn Deforest, trumpet and vocals ; Tracy McMullen, sax; John Clark, Bass.
Tickets are $12.00 in advance and $15.00 at the door.
