On the Road Tour - All Things Fall
Come explore Pomarius Nursery in urban northwest Portland. Inspiration awaits! Well hear about boxwood trimming techniques, fertilizing and tools. Well learn the best time to prune, the best plants for topiary, using structure in the garden, hedging and creating garden rooms.
Next is Shortys Nursery, a locally established, family owned garden center, which focuses on regionally grown plants. Our presentation here will be on preparing the garden for winter. Not sure where to start? Learn here what to do before you settle in for a well-deserved winter break.
Last stop; Joes Place Farm, featuring produce grown right here in Vancouver, including many kinds of pumpkins and apples. The farm store will include Mrs. Joes preserves, local honey and a bakery. There will be a short talk by Joe about whats happening in October on the farm.
Bring your wallets, shopping at all three stops!
Cost: $35.
Lunch: On your own at Lapellah Restaurant in Vancouver.
