Ballroom Burlesque: Tango Performance
Classes: Saturdays, August 31 - October 5, 2:15 - 3:45pm
Dress Rehearsal: Sunday, October 13th, 6:00 - 9:00pm
Performance: Friday, October 18th, 7:00pm
In this 6-week performance class you will learn basic tango concepts, dance steps, and how they translate from the dance floor to the burlesque stage! We will use all these elements to develop a choreographed burlesque dance (including sexy tango costumes) to be performed at Fanny's Fresh Meat student show*. Removal of clothing will be optional and the instructor will work with all comfort levels of nudity.
Although there are no pre-requisites, it is strongly recommended that you take Ballroom Burlesque Series, Burlesque FUNdamentals and/or Beg/Int Burlesque prior to any performance classes. While burlesque superstars make performing look easy, the work put into their performance is extremely time-consuming. We have a limited amount of class time and in order to meet deadlines and standards, much of your work will be done on on your own time. Students are expected to rehearse choreography on their own and make simple costume pieces as required. Attendance at all classes is mandatory, and missing classes may result in non-performance (emergencies will be handled on a case by case basis).
Students are responsible for the cost of creating their own costume in addition to the workshop price. However, matching trims and embellishments will be provided by the instructor.
*Students must meet specific standards for costume, choreography, and presentation in order to perform. These expectations will be outlined for students at the first class and referred to throughout the process. Students who do not meet the standards set forth by the instructor's deadline will not perform in the final recital, but will be given the opportunity to retake the class at the discounted rate of 50% off. By making a payment towards your registration, you are agreeing to these terms.

Cancellation Policies:
If your class is cancelled by the instructor, your payment will be refunded in full as soon as possible. If you've pre-paid a class or deposit and need to cancel 10 days or more before the class, you will be refunded 50% of your deposit. No refunds will be made in the 9 days before a class. There are no refunds or makeup classes for absences.
