2019 Bessies Angel Party

Join us as we honor a true Bessie Awards advocate, Laurie Uprichard, with the 2019 Bessies Angel Award!

This year will mark The Bessies' 35th anniversary and we are thrilled to be honoring Laurie Uprichard who has done so much for the awards going through three decades! She worked with Bessies founder David White in the early days of the awards, and continued as coproducer during her years as Executive Director of Danspace Project. The Bessies Angel Award will recognize her service to The Bessies, and to dance in NY and beyond.

Toast this year's Bessie-nominated artists and enjoy remarks from very special guests. Angel Party tickets include hors d'oeuvres, and cocktails provided by Tito's Handmade Vodka overlooking Washington Square and priority seating to the awards ceremony, held at NYU Skirball Center immediately following.
