Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis February 16, 2020 Gospel Concert
Now in its 22nd year, the Annual Gospel Concert features the Philharmonic Orchestra, the Symphonic Praise Choir, and students from The Performing Arts Conservatory in a celebration of gospel music and orchestral works by Black composers.

The first half includes Roland Carter's arrangement of "Lift Every Voice and Sing," and Undine Smith Moore's "Lord, We Give Thanks to Thee."  The Indianapolis premiere of  Robert T. Townsend's "Peace, peace when there is no peace," a work for orchestra and cello solo, features guest soloist Jeremy Anderson, Broad Ripple High School alumnus.

The second part of the concert includes gospel and praise songs by various artists performed by the Symphonic Praise Choir and the Philharmonic orchestra.
