"Equivocation" -- West End Players Guild
Commissioned by King James I to write the "true historie" of the infamous Gunpowder Plot of 1605, William Shakespeare and his troupe of actors face a difficult choice with possibly deadly consequences: speak truth to power and lose their heads (perhaps literally), or take the money and lie? Tom Kopp directs this political thriller, set in the early 17th century but with contemporary resonance in the 21st century.
