About the play: The story revolves around Amir Kapoor, a successful Pakistani-American lawyer who, as he moves up the corporate ladder, distances himself from his roots. Emily, his wife, is an artist whose work is influenced by Islamic imagery. Amir is drawn into a legal issue by his nephew and wife, which begins the unwinding of his identity and career. The couple have friends who add dynamic complications to their lives.
