The Fast & The Furriest
Who is the Fastest & Who is the Furriest? Come & find out at our 2nd Annual Charity Fun Run for Benton-Franklin Human Society!
Run, walk or jog, alone or with your dog, on this 5k (optional 1k) run while taking in the scenery at Columbia Point Park in Richland starting at shelter #1.
The race starts at 10 am with registration open at 9 am.
Tickets include a voucher for a discounted hot dog from Tri-Cities own award-winning Doggie Style Gourmet, and runners also will receive $2.00 off a frozen treat of their choice from WE ice.
The top two finishers will receive a Fastest or Furriest Gift Basket!
Need more fun? Purchase a raffle ticket for $5.00 and select your winner in our friendly competition of SMALL DOGS vs BIG DOGS. Whichever dog crosses the finish line first - the ticket will be drawn from the corresponding pot. Winner will receive a gift basket full of car washing supplies valued up to $100.00.
Race Details: Race will begin at 10 am near shelter #1. Water will be available for runners at the starting line, mid-way line & finish line.
All proceeds go towards supporting BFHS and donations are always accepted!
OUR MISSION Benton-Franklin Humane Society, established in 1966, is a private, non-profit adoption center located in Kennewick, WA. We are a shelter that receives no government funding. BFHS advocates for the humane treatment of animals through adoption counseling, educational outreach, and community services. We promote exceptional pet ownership and work tirelessly to place our animals into loving, forever homes. Compassion and respect guide our actions as we strive to create a model humane community.
**Please be sure your dog is on a leash and is public friendly. Doggie bags will be available and we ask you please pick up after your pet.**
