HOSTING and PERFORMING from New York is DAN KENNEDY with music by RITCHIE YOUNG and performances from ARTHUR BRADFORD, BARBARA HOLM, WM. STEVEN HUMPHREY, KEVIN SAMPSELL, MINDY NETTIFEE, B. FRAYN MASTERS, and JASON ROUSE.

DAN KENNEDY is a longstanding host and performer with The Moth in New York City. He is author of the books Loser Goes First: My Thirty Something Years of Dumb Luck and Minor Humiliation and Rock On: An Office Power Ballad, which The Times of London named a Book of The Year. Of his new novel, American Spirit, Publishers Weekly says, "(Starred review) The humor and struggle within contain a healing brand of cynicism. Kennedy has far surpassed the creation of character and conjured an entity so alive in its knowledge of impending death that we're captured in a new idea of what it's like to live." Kennedy is a longstanding contributor at McSweeneys.net, and his essays also appear in GQ magazine, and in several anthologies including The New Yorker humorist Ian Frazier's collection, Humor Me: An Anthology of Funny Contemporary Writing.

Ritchie and viola-ist Amanda Lawrence will sing and play a few songs.
Ritchie is the founding member of Loch Lomond, a music collective from Portland. Loch Lomond involves a carousel of contributions from upwards of 30 musicians and is currently touring the world in promotion of its latest release entitled Dresses (Chemikal Underground Records) which will be released as book in 2014.

Emmy-nominated director of SIX DAYS TO AIR: The Making of South Park, ARTHUR BRADFORD, will tell stories about working with Matt Stone & Trey Parker   interspersed with never before seen documentary footage.
Arthur is an O Henry Award winning writer. His writing has appeared in Esquire, McSweeney's, Vice, Men's Journal, and many other publications. His first book, Dogwalker, was published by Knopf and Vintage paperback in 2002, and has been translated into ten languages.  His latest book, Benny's Brigade, is a children's book, was published by McSweeney's in September of 2012.

Bespectacled and jubilant BARBARA HOLM is vying to both steal your heart and piggyback last years award by being of the best things about (standup) comedy in 2013.
Barbara has performed at the San Francisco Sketchfest, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Bumbershoot Arts festival, and the Women in Comedy Festival in Boston. She has written for IGN, The Portland Mercury, Hahajk, and the Huffington Post. She has been awarded Time Out New York's Joke of the Week and was named "one of the best things about comedy in 2012 by the Comedy Bureau. Her comedy has been described as clever, unique, idiosyncratic, and exuberant. Seattle City Arts Magazine called her a "comedy wizard" and Seattle Stranger Newspaper described her as an "adorable wunderkind" and she describes herself as "running away from this question to hide under the desk right now."

Reprising his performance from the Slingshot Comedy series at Portland Center Stage, WM. STEVEN HUMPHREY reveals, through song, dance, and visuals his very real pop star crush.
Steven has been the editor-in-chief of The Portland Mercury since its birth in 2000. He's also the author of the nationally syndicated column I Love Television. He recently killed it in ROAD HOUSE: The Play!.

The 2013 Best American Essays contributor KEVIN SAMPSELL will get your juices flowing with passages from his soon-to-be-released Tin House novel, This is Between Us.
Kevin is the editor of Portland Noir, a bookstore employee at Powell's, and author of the memoir, A Common Pornography. He has contributed to salon.com, goodmenproject.com,  numerous printed and literary journals, and written something for most every Portland printed and online media.

A recent transplant to Portland, Professional Performance Poet MINDY NETTIFEE will lay down some stanzas with accompaniment by RITCHIE YOUNG and friends.  
Mindy was featured in the critically acclaimed poetry concert documentary, The Drums Inside Your Chest, and she co-founded the non-profit poetry organization Write Now Poetry Society with actress Amber Tamblyn. Mindy is also Pushcart nominated writer and author of the full-length collections Sleepyhead Assassins, and Rise of the Trustfall, and a collection of essays on writing Glitter in BloodA Poet's Manifesto for Better, Braver Writing.

As the producer of E4P and also a regular performer, B. FRAYN MASTERS will saw into your mind with some fiction tidbits.
Frayn is the Host of both the live and radio versions of the storytelling series Back Fence PDX. Her writing has appeared in places suchs McSweeney's, Hobart, Girls Gone Wild Magazine, and Airplane Reading. She was once voted Audience Favorite in an air guitar contest.

A regular at E4P, JASON ROUSE will steal your heart with a brand new video he made with pal and collaborator B. FRAYN MASTERS, collectively known as Masters & Rouse.
Rouse writes for LIVE WIRE! RADIO, stars in the band CAKE's MOUSTACHE MAN video, and is a member of the popular sketch group SWEAT. When his hair is slicked back, you can hear doves cry.
