"Contemporary Papermaking" is a four-week, Wednesday evening session of Trad Arts Studio @ Slater Mill, October 16 thru November 6, 2019, 6 - 8:30 p.m.

Professional textile artist Suzi Ballenger teaches the paper-making process: how to embed, layer, shape, and color the pulp. Students will leave with a bound book of their handmade papers.

In this class, students will learn how to make paper. They will embed, layer, shape, and color the pulp, and explore different plants and techniques to make paper hydrangea, abaca, hemp, linen, even seaweed! Finally, students will be taught a simple stab binding technique to create a personal bound book out of their handmade papers.

Registration Fee: $90.00 for four (4) sessions / Materials Fee: $30.00 per person. Maximum 6 students per session.

By purchasing a ticket on BPT, I confirm that I have read and accept this policy for cancellation of my registration.

I understand the class is limited to 6 students, and that placement is made on a first-come-first-served basis, and no "oral" guarantee can be made by any one TAS staff members for a spot in the class.

I understand that if I cancel my registration within 14 days of the start of class, Slater Mill will retain 25% of my registration as an administration fee. Further, if I cancel once the session is underway, the administrative fee increases to 50%. Finally, if I am a no-call-no-show, I will not be entitled to any refund of any registration fees that I have paid.
