Point Arena Lighthouse 150th Anniversary Celebration Dinner
The Point Arena Lighthouse Keepers, Inc. invites you to join us on Saturday, September 28th to help kick off the celebrations of the Light Station's 150-year anniversary!
It was September of 1869 when work first began on the Point Arena Light Station, breaking ground for this important location on the Mendocino Coast and setting the stage for all the rich history to come. This memorable occasion will be celebrated with a fundraiser dinner and silent auction at the Gualala Community Center. Please join us to help celebrate 150 years of the light shining at the Point Arena Light Station and support our mission to keep the lighthouse and grounds open to the public for many years to come.
Dinner: Grill Master Bob Shimon will be preparing his signature barbeque tri-tip steak and chicken. There will also be plenty of delicious side dishes, vegetables for the non-meat-eaters out there, and of course desserts! Water and soft drinks will be provided with dinner, and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
Silent Auction: There will be many great items to bid on, including unique and exclusive experiences such as a behind-the-scenes tour of a local winery, Safari West and B Bryan Preserve tours, tickets to local shows, and of course fantastic getaway stays at the Point Arena Lighthouse Keeper's Quarters lodging! More information on the auction items will be available on our website, www.pointarenalighthouse.com
All proceeds will benefit the Light Station and our mission: to maintain in perpetuity, the historic Point Arena Light Station including the 23 coastal acres it encompasses, its 115 ft. Lighthouse Tower and its 1896 Fog Signal Building for the inspiration, education and the enjoyment of all generations to come.
