The Queer Landscape

Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble is pleased to present, The Queer Landscape. This is the third of a four-part performance series called, Art + Activism. The featured performance works, along with the art installation, aim to create a dialogue around the intricacies, growing awareness, and history of oppression of the LGBTQ+ community. Topics of featured performance works examine displacement of the trans community, violence and hate crimes, the evolution of coming out and coming into ones self acceptance, and gender fluidity.

About ART + ACTIVISM:

ART + ACTIVISM is a performance and art installation series broken into four parts to disseminate a topic and inspire conversation. Those topics are women, race, queer identity, and immigration rights.
