Sashes Not Fascists!
Sashes Not Fascists! is a unique, interdisciplinary approach to gender expression, reproductive healthcare, and protest art.
Teach-in: Scout Bratt, Outreach & Education Director at Chicago Womens Health Center, will lead a workshop on how gender expression and reproductive health care intersect. This workshop is for you if you want to know more about:
* LGBTQIA+ sex education
* The many ways we express gender
* Access to reproductive healthcare and abortion
* How to be a better self-advocate at the doctor
* Your rights!
Crafts: Fiber artist and educator Kathryn Pritchard will lead participants through a protest sash making activity. Historically, protest sashes have been worn by suffragettes and striking workers, and you'll have the chance to make your very own.
Poems: ShugaHive will perform poems about feminism, race, and reproductive healthcare.
***We'd love to see lots of teens (and their parents!) at this event, but we respectfully ask that all attendees be ages 12+.***
