We are very excited to be hosting one of California's most historic (and outstanding) wineries, Mayacamas Vineyards. This will be a unique opportunity to enjoy a luxury menu alongside a couple of library vintages that the winery was kind enough to share with us for this special event!
Dating back to 1889, the property was originally the J.H. Fischer Winery. The Taylor family owned the estate from 1941 until 1968, a period during which they planted Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay atop the propertys mountain blocks. In 1968, after working with legendary winemakers Joe Heitz and André Tchelistcheff, Robert Travers took over and made the Mayacamas wines world-famous. He made history when his 1971 Mayacamas Cabernets was chosen to compete in the famous Judgment of Paris Tasting of 1976.
Travers was owner and winemaker for 45 vintages at Mayacamas Vineyards. He sold it in 2013 to Jay Schottenstein. Since that time, Erickson have rigorously attended to the identity of Mayacamas and ensure the winery continues to deserve its reputation as one of the greatest producers in the history of California.
