Humayoon Babur  Afghanistan
Humayoon is a distinguished reporter from Afghanistan. He works for the Pasbanan Media Group in Kabul and has written widely on combat and car bombs, corruption and the effectiveness of foreign aid.

Special Guest
2008 Daniel Pearl Foundation Fellow
Umar Cheema  Pakistan
Umar is an honored investigative reporter at The News International in Islamabad, covering corruption, national security, politics, and intelligence agencies. He was abducted and tortured after exposing official corruption through his investigative work.

The Daniel Pearl Fellowship program supports journalists from Muslim majority countries to work in major U.S. newsrooms including a week at the Jewish Journal.
The Fellows will discuss views on America and the fellowships influence on their journalistic ideals and practices.
