Plates for Parks at Washington Park

Celebrate Jersey City's dynamic food scene and enjoy a delicious three-course dinner in one of our beautiful parks. Each dinner will be created by a guest chef, and all proceeds will support the Jersey City Parks Coalition in our mission to empower residents to develop, renovate, use and maintain their community parks and public spaces of Jersey City; thereby revitalizing neighborhoods and lifting communal and human spirits.

Chef Auggie Ramirez of The Cliff, Jersey City

About The Cliff and Auggie Ramierz:

Eva Johannesdottir, born and raised in Iceland is the owner of The Cliff here in Jersey City Heights. Eva has worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years beginning as a young girl in Icelands famed Lobster House. Once in the US Eva began working in restaurants throughout New York City and the Hamptons. Her experience is vast having held every position from prep cook to bartender to manager at some of the areas best hotels, restaurants and bars, including The Soho Grand Hotel, The Grand Banks, The National Restaurant & Bar, Ruschmeyers, The Crows Nest and Bobo to name a few.

Augusto Ramirez, born in Oaxaca, Mexico has been a chef in New Jersey for the last 15 years. Raised on a farm he learned how to grow and cultivate everything from Avocados to Vegetables to Honey. Auggie spent over a decade at Hoboken's Anthony David's perfecting his skills before opening his own restaurant Cugini Kitchen in Hoboken. The love Auggie instills into each dish has garnered him a cult like following. He is currently the Head Chef at The Cliff and has been for the past two years.
