Live Wire - LYNN MILES co-billed with SULTANS OF STRING
LYNN MILES is one of Canadas most accomplished singer/songwriters with ten albums to her credit including the stark Unravel, winning Miles a 2003 Juno Award for Roots & Traditional solo album of the year and Love Sweet Love earning her multiple Canadian Folk Music awards (best English songwriter, best contemporary singer).  Her album Slightly Haunted, was a Billboard magazine Top 10 pick for the year, while Unravel was praised by All Music Guide as "sounding as if it's been produced by Daniel Lanois in an Appalichian town" and "a diamond in the rough".

SULTANS OF STRING celebrate the season with an adventurous musical trip around the world! Three time JUNO Award nominees Sultans of String deliver an exuberant performance featuring band originals, world-music inspired classics, and seasonal favourites to warm your heart on a cold winters night. From fiery fiddle tunes to a Caribbean sleigh ride, this surprising and delightful holiday fiesta heats up when these three time Canadian Folk Music Award winners bring their signature sound to well known gems such as Jesu, Joy of Mans Desiring, a djembe-driven Little Drummer Boy, a Turkish twist on Greensleeves, as well as a Gypsy-jazz inspired Django Christmas. The band is joined on stage by Canadas shimmering special guest vocalists, Rebecca Campbell and Lynn Miles. Their companion Christmas Caravan CD hit Billboards World Music charts (#6) and The New York Times Hits list, and features such luminaries as The Chieftains very own Paddy Moloney, platinum vocalist Nikki Yanofsky, JUNO winner Alex Cuba, Grammy winners Sweet Honey in The Rock, a Turkish orchestra and more!
