South Asian Bar Association of Washington-Annual Banquet Fundraiser
On behalf of the South Asian Bar Association of Washington (SABAW), please accept our warm invitation to attend SABAWs Annual Banquet & Fundraiser on September 27, 2019. The Banquet will be held in the Noble Room at the Washington Athletic Club, 1325 Sixth Avenue, Seattle, WA, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Your generosity has permitted us to expand our community outreach and enhance opportunities for law students and young lawyers:
Our Community Legal Clinic continues to serve the community on a variety of legal matters, including immigration and family law. Our clinics fill an unmet need for legal support within the community and constantly exceed attendance expectations. SABAW has received national awards recognizing the impact and effectiveness of its clinics, and these awards are a testament of your support!
Our Scholarship Awards provide professional development opportunities to law students and recent graduates pursuing issues of significant interest to the South Asian community. Every year, we award scholarships, for example, to law students so they can pursue public interest work during law school or intern with API Chaya.
Our Minority Legal Fellowship grants stipends to solo practitioners, small law firms, and nonprofit organizations so they can employ a minority law student or attorney. This fellowship promotes our goal of diversity and inclusiveness within the legal community and provides much-needed resources for the recipient firm or organization.
Our Mentorship Program is a structured year-long opportunity offering a ladder up for diverse law students and young lawyers. This year, we brought together 35 participants to aid mentees in reaching their varied career goals, including participating in professional leadership opportunities, striving for employment at respected local firms, and making meaningful connections in the Seattle area. Next year we hope to expand the program further.
Your contributions will be directly invested into one of our many programming areas.
